WEEKEND MEET 5TH/6TH MAY

Meet started with run down from montrose by myself and marion met dunk and lorraine at stirling services then met up with gordon at lesmahago or there abouts

run down was ok but some strong and at times cold winds arrived at castle douglas campsite a nice place and not bad on their prices and they are only a short walk from the main eating and drinking establishments in the town

early evening we had a visit from bob and jan from dumfries who unfortunately were both working that weekend ,on call so couldn't venture to far so were unable to come on the run out on sunday nice to meet you both

the  runout on sunday was around the 2 penisulas (spelling) castle douglas down to kirkcubright up to newton stewart down to wigtown then the  isle of whithorn, back up to join the a75 back to newton stewart a 712 then down the side of loch ken ( the right side going down the way) back to castle douglas and onto dalbeattie to say hello to frank and wife fiona who makes lovely cups of tea and coffee ( good to see you both and again at kelso  )
